A few more chirps about Chirp

alyce desrosiers, lcsw

Chirp’s founder, Alyce Desrosiers, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker and brings over 20 years of clinical experience working with families and children to the nanny-hiring process. This combination of education, training, research and personal experience and intuition has helped her place hundreds of successful nannies with families in the San Francisco Bay Area since the early 90’s.

In addition to starting Chirp (formerly Desrosiers & Associates LLC) Alyce has assisted in the startup of a successful Bay Area childcare center for parents working non traditional hours, facilitated numerous workshops, authored two books on hiring a nanny and written a plethora of articles covering a range of issues about the nanny hiring process and idiosyncrasies of the nanny/parent/child relationship.

What Alyce has to say: “Care by nanny is an unlicensed and unregulated market! Literally anyone can say they want to care for children. Along the way you will meet many excellent nannies, and along the way you may meet nannies that should never be caring for children. I use my experience, training and judgment to help you weed-out the worrisome from the good. I will ask meaningful questions to help us know better who you would want to care for your children. This is a process we go through together in order to find you the best-fit nanny for your family.”
